T'day @ the Station. I tried to get G to do a CF WOD. So, I proposed the 5 rounds: Max rep of body weight BP & Max reps of pullups. I also agreed to do the G approved strict pullup and not the "Swinging tree dweller pullup".
It didn't quite workout....3 rounds and he was off to the machines. He also objected to using push group and a pull group in the same day......
5 rounds for my part:
225 BP; 10/6/5/4/4
Strict pullup; 11/9/8/7/6
Then ladders and up 'n' back sprints w/ VO and Eddie....light headed!!!

Well I guess he showed you didn't he. Everyone knows that you can't use push and pull muscles in the same day. Like you would never push a car and lift a stretcher in the same day. If you did you would definitely lose muscle.

Sometimes you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Sergio awesome job today. Thrusters 45#, ring rows, AMRAP. Did great after a layoff.
8 rounds

Phil also great job. He had already done the WOD last week. So I programmed a new one.
AMRAP
5 tire flips
5 ring pull-ups
5 KB swings 53#
5 sledge swings against the tire.

8 rounds

Jason- Well stated in your first paragraph about functional movements. That is funny Tills...some people just don't "get it".

Put a bunch of people through the AMRAP W.O.D. today.
Tessa
Will
Brooke
Travis
Kaleb
Jenny

Everyone really pushed so hard. The intensity was awesome. Brooke and Tessa are rocking thier pull-ups. I am really impressed with how hard everyone tried today.

This WOD was tough. It didn't seem so bad at that beginning but I was really having a hard time by the end. All I wanted to do was get as many rounds as Will did, and guess what? I DID!!! Plus he was there to help push me along. (Will and Mandy you were so nice to stay) I told him before hand I wanted him yelling at me! Thanks Jason for telling me I could do it... I really wanted to give up, but thanks to you and everyone watching I knew I couldn't do that! Brooke, girl you are getting so good at those pull ups. They really stink in a WOD like tonights. You kept me runnin!
AMRAP in 20 min (as Rx'd)
10 45# Thrusters
10 Pull ups
Rounds: 11
It's pretty cool to think that you can do 110 pullups in one WOD along with 110 45# thrusters. Crossfit ROCKS! I was feelin pewkie by like round 5 and didn't know if I was going to make it! You know those burps that you can just tell it's about to all come out? Yeah, had a few of those...(ewww sorry probably TMI) but never did throw up. Anyway, my poor hands... without fail on a pull up WOD they always rip. Just the right hand tonight. Will told me to switch up my grip and I think it really helped. I think my other hand would have ripped too had I not been switchin the grip. Jason you ROCK! I didn't think I could have pulled off the 10 thrusters in a row on my last round, but thanks to you tellin me I could... it helped a ton. Also tellin me to use the hip, and all that... Thank you!
Anyway, sorry for the novel!
Hey Jason I think I told you I would be in around noon on Wednesday but I lied... I will be in for the 6:00 pm class though!
Cody, (I'll email you too in case you don't look at this) I don't get off work on Thursday until right at 6 and then have to give report blah blah blah... so I will be running a little late. I'll try to be there around 6:30. If you have to leave let me know and I'll just plan on coming in on Saturday, no big deal:)
Ok, the end!

I thought I made long comments. Holy smokes Tessa!;) Did the AMRAP WOD tonight
65# thrusters 10
pull ups 10
11 rounds

Man that was rough. It's like doing Fran for twenty minutes, UGH!
I had the pleasure of watching Travis finish his up and got to watch Kaleb, Jenny, Brooke and Tessa do their whole WOD. Everybody did awesome.
Tessa came in looking to gun me down and she did a pretty good job. At the end I think her form on her thrusters was better than mine, so even though we ended up with the same # of rounds I gotta give the upper hand to her. She's just lucky we weren't doing it at the same time. With the extra motivation that would have given me I would have smoked her! :) Hope I yelled at you enough Tessa and I feel for ya, that tear is gonna sting!
It was nice to have Mandy back with me even though she did a heavy day since she's still recovering from her case of pneumonia.
Thanks to Jason for keeping all of us motivated!
