Good luck everyone on Fran! I know you will all do well because you have all progressed since we did Fran last. I will be checking the blog at work tomorrow so everyone better post after they do it! Will, you definately need to do it as rx, YOU CAN DO IT!

My left quad. is still bothering me. I won't be able to do it. I am getting really tired of upper body workouts. Now, my hand is ripped open...so I pretty much suck right now. -Nat

Good to hear everyone having an awsome time at the soccer games! I'm bummed that I'm still sidelined from running!:{
I have been doing made up WODs, pushups, squats, 45lb pack elipticals and dips and such....
Yesterday, I attempted thrusters w/o px....
So, t'day I did fran w/ the pullups a lil shy of full extension due to pull on my owwwwie. ;} Otherwise the WOD was Rx'd.

Fran as rx'd

First time as rx'd, maybe second time. Seems like I might have tried it over a year ago when I first started CF and had a time of 25+ minutes. My last Fran was 6:40 but I subbed 85#. It's amazing what an extra ten pounds does. I'm happy with this time. I was hoping to stay sub 8 and with Dave's encouragement I was able to accomplish that goal. Thanks Dave! Your help was appreciated. Mandy did awesome but I'll let her post it. Phil and Blake came and joined the pain fest which is always nice since misery loves company.

Nat- It's really not physically possible for you to suck. You're too much of a BA even with a bum leg. Hope it starts healing up.

El Capitan Tills- That's a nice Fran time for a lame duck! I have no owwwwies and can't pull off times like that! Here's to hoping your owwwwie (that word makes me lol) finally heals up.

Well my first time doing fran,and it sucked! Well I sucked. I was expecting better out of myself. my time

I did it rx'd and so my pullups really slowed me down. At least i know what I need to work on! I was glad that Dave was there! I am bummed at my time, but its a starting point! I can't wait to do fran again!
Wednesday there is only a morning class, so I won't be able to make it in:( I'll have to do something at home! congrats on your times everyone! see you soon!

Congrats Will! And Congrats Blake! Phil hope your shoulder gets better. I so forgot my time. I just know it was 3 mins and 8 seconds less from July 7th when I did Fran! Todays time was 11 something. Great work out! Tessa tell your work I am mad at them for calling you in. lol

Nice job everyone on FRAN! You are all BA's! Tills- it sucks to have an injury doesn't it? Get better soon, I hope you can make it to one of the last soccer games. Your Fran time was still awesome!
Will- I knew you could do it!! SWEEEEEEEET! And a great time too!
Justin- Oh, once again. We ALL know how you feel. And that is a pretty respectable first-time-Fran time, and you did it as RX! She sucks. But when we do it again in a month or so, you will get a better time, and your pullups will be faster. You'll see! Hang in there, you're doing great on your wods. Oh, and how the girls were talking about you and Will throwing weights around, they really like it. It's kinda tough.
Mandy- nice work girl. I can't believe how much you are progressing these past few weeks. Doesn't feel just awesome? You are DRINKING IT girl. Love it.
Sergio, Jared- I heard you had to do Fran AGAIN today...wow, nice job!

Nice work everyone! :) I am stuck at work tonight... so bugged, like Mandy said, they put me on call and then like 10 or 15 minutes later (as I was getting ready to come to the gym) they called me back and said... "oops, sorry we need you to come in now." Grrrrrr! I really wanted to do Fran :( Maybe I'll have to sacrifice a little sleep in the morning and go do it with Nat. We'll see how much of a crazy night it is:)
Will, holy BA! You're time is amazing despite what you say, doing it as rx'd for the first time... Wahoo! Isn't it the best feeling to be able to do something as rx'd?
Justin - strong work... way good time for the first time :) And like Nat said, we all know exactly how you feel.
Tills- sorry you are still havin an owwwie:( We need you at our games... so get better!
Mandy, nice work:) don't worry, I told my work you were mad at them:)

Justin- Ok I didn't want to do this because it just makes me look like a wuss. But I'm the kind of friend that's willing to take a bullet for a buddy.
I looked up some of my old Fran times and here they are. On 9/04/07 the first Fran I ever did was a time of 31:21 and that was subbing 65# on thrusters. After that I attempted a Fran as rx'd on 11/19/07 and had a time of 19:15. I did Fran a few other times subbing various weights for the thrusters. None of those times were better than the 14:19 that you posted today.
The next time I did Fran was actually a pivotal moment for me. It was May 11 of this year. I tried Fran as rx'd. It was a bad day, I was at the station, not feeling ready for it mentally or physically. I ended up with a 23:54 and quit partway through my third round of thrusters. Due to bad form I gave myself a pretty strained back. That's when I decided I needed to find an affiliate. One thing led to another and I found the little slice of perfection we all lovingly call Viking Crossfit. It was at that point that I started making HUGE improvements.
So what's the point of this long as *$&^@ text. Well,,, plain and simple your first Fran, that you did as rx'd, CRUSHED my first few attempts at Fran.
You my friend are a BAD MOFO!

And I'm with Nat, I think secretly Mandy and Tessa think it's sexy when we throw around weights! Yeah, they probably whisper to each other and giggle like infatuated teenagers when we do it. ;) Whaddya do? It's the price we pay for being tough!
