Front Squat 5-5-5-5-5

Sergio and Travis were named MVP's of the soccer season. Tessa was also awarded for having 100% attendance. ( Travis was not present to accept his award, so Tessa gladly accepted and said a few words in his behalf.)
Our last soccer game was a blast! Jason was definitely the MVP of the last game. He saved well over a dozen goals being goalie, and scored our only point when out in the field. Way to go Jason!
We all had a lot of fun this season learning and playing a new competitive sport. We really proved ourselves each game with our endurance and strength. The opposing team last week even commented on how well we played with only one sub! Our Crossfit training really showed in every game! Way to go team! Next year we will be ready to play again and really kick some butt... (especially now that we know most of the rules) :)

These pics are great. You have to zoom in and see the trophies up close...too funny. Read what Sergio's trophy says in the circle at the top. lol.
Have fun doing front squats with Steve tomorrow. I love front squats.

Good job at the soccer game.

The workout today with Steve was very good, I got a new PR on fronts squats at 145 x 3 before form broke down and i had to go back down to 135 for the last set. Darrell also did a great job setting a PR for himself, I believe at 215 x 5!

The 7:30 class had alot of folks there this morning it was good to see. Got to keep pushing Viking and help it grow even more. The more people we have the better it will be!

Good luck to all on your Front Squats today! Work HARD!

Did the squats today!!! Loved them!! Love Heavy Days!!
65#, 85#, 95#, 100#, 100#(it said on my pr paper that in Sept. I did 65#. So not sure if that was just a max WOD or like the one we did today. So on todays I marked it as a 5-5-5-5-5) But either way it was a pr.
I will not be able to come in until tomorrow night. Work in the morning. Will, Blake, and Robbie did awesome today!!! Steve, thank you for being there and pushing us.
And by the way the pics from Saturday look like it was a blast! Sad I missed out!

Good job everyone this am on your front squats. And thanks Rockey for spreading the word about the gym, I agree, the more the merrier!

I ran a 5k today on the treadmill. 27:53. Not a PR by any means but I didn't run for a PR today, I just wanted to run. I haven't done a 5k for a while, and it felt really good. Just a nice steady pace. I felt awesome after the run, a good runners high today.

If you all have a chance, run a 5k sometime this week. We won't post it as a wod because of the cold and lack of equipment, but it's really good to get some long distance runs in every now and then. Run one this week, and then another in 6 weeks and see the progress you made. You will be surprised. (Especially you new Crossfitter's) And for those of you who hate to run....RUN!

So I did the virtual shoveling WOD today. I had to do strict pull-ups because of the pull-up bar at the fire station. I got a few calls in the middle of the WOD so time was not a factor. That was really tough. I am still sore from doing the weighted, strict, and kipping pull-up WOD.

Saturday was a lot of fun we missed a lot of people. No need to worry we are planning on doing it again hopefully this spring.

Been doing wods but haven't posted in awhile so guess I should make an appearance today. Front squats. Not sure if I got a pr or not since I didn't have anything posted. Got 5# over bodyweight so I'm happy with that.

Great Groups today. It was good having so many people in there. When the cheering gets going for someone who's giving a max effort, its really inspiring. Good energy today.

Thanks to Erick for helping out. Can't wait to work with you more.

This movement is a fun one that we don't get to do very often. Thanks Steve for being there and being so motivating! I'm glad we get to have you for a few more months!
