Finished this brutal WOD in 18:03, Darrell on the other hand smoked it in 8:56 doing the muscle up variation. Great WOD to start the week.

Someone should ask the owl that does the tootsie roll pop commercials how many pullups it takes to get to the bone. :) My guess is 100 burpee pullups.

Take care of your callusses, and your callusses will take care of you! Hand care is really important, especially as you start realy cranking out the kipping pullups. Prevent rips from getting worse by taping for now, but once they heal, start sanding the callusses down so they don't rip, grow them nice and deep. After a while you wont even think about skin tears again.

Yep every time i shower i break out the callus file and shave them down some. The tool is only 3 bux at most places and is the best thing i have done for my hands. Still have the callusses but they don't protrude out so far which is what causes the rips. Also don't forget the lotion.

"It puts the lotion on its hands or the calusses rip again!"

Did GI Jane today for the first time myself. 13:10 RX. Phew! Good hard wod. It took longer then I thought. I made Cody do it with me so I wouldn't have to suffer alone, Thanks Cody. Good job Cody and Jason today!

I actually liked this WOD! At the end I was soo out of breath but it felt good to do the work out. I did jumping pull ups. My time was 23:07. This week I will be coming in, in the am. Work nights rest of week. Will and Tessa kicked butt tonight. Jason thanks for being there. Viking Crossfit Rocks!!

Also, I have a callous shaver that works great for getting rid of the dead skin. Cheap too. But be careful, you can shave to deep and it hurts!

I did the 30 Burpee/MU tonight. I was definitely nervous going in to it from thinking about it all day and then wanting a good time, esp. after seeing everyone's great times today! So... my time: 12:15 (PR). I was pretty stoked cause I did just the 30 MU last Sept. and my time was 16 somethin! WAHOO!! Will and Mandy did AWESOME!! Thanks Jason for the encouragement. See ya'll tomorrow night! Keep drinkin the KOOLAID!
