We had a fun WOD today. Teaming up on a 400 meter run, kb swings, push press, and ring dips. It was tough. It was nice to be able to workout with everyone in a WOD. I was so gassed at the end of the WOD. Thanks Cody for coming up with the WOD it was a lot of fun.
Like Jason said, a tough WOD this morning; however it was a good one. On the first 400 M run I was able to get a PR time of 1:38... too bad I can't keep that up the whole time. It's taken me a LONG time to feel comfortable pushing the runs. So it was me and Jason, Brooke and Steve, then Rockey and Darrell. Thanks Jason for showin up, it was fun having you suffer with us! I didn't get to posting yesterday but I did JT. It was a killer. My shoulders were SHOT (so it was SO nice of Cody to have push presses and ring dips for us today)! I definitely wasn't getting full ROM on the HSPU and then my ring dips started struggling by round two. So, a lot to work on to get it REALLY as Rx'd. Time last night of 12:23. SORRY (to those of you who were offended, ahem) I didn't participate in the "group" WOD, but I REALLY wanted to do this Hero WOD. Thanks Jason for letting me do it! Everyone else rocked the burpee/box jump OH squat WOD. Melanie, nice to meet you; hope you keep coming! Cynthia... you kill me! Love havin you around! It's fun having so much energy at the gym. Thanks for hangin around last night Blake to cheer us on, you're the bomb! Will and Mandy rocked it as usual! Nice work everyone... see you Monday AM... I love Crossfit! I was not able to post yesterday. I also did the Wod that Will did! Boy that kicked my butt. I did my over head squats at 45#. My arms were so tired and they still are. Time:13:38. Then I went and ran with Will. 1.8 miles. I could actually tell a difference from when I use to run. And there was even some hills. Every so often I would have to stop and catch my breath and count to 20 then start again. I kind of prevented Will from doing a long run so I feel bad. It started getting dark and I was slow. Sorry Will!! Everyone did awesome at the gym though! And I am so glad Mel is coming and it sounds like she is going to sign up. I also will be glad I get to come to the Saturday workouts. This coming Saturday is my last Saturday I will work so I will be able to start coming every Saturday. woo-hoo!
So I made a bet with Blake on whether or not I could beat Tessa's JT time in two months. Figured the shoulder would be 100% by then. So in anticipation of that I did JT today at the station. Blake, just tell me where you want to go. I was a significant amount of time slower than my last time, which was still slower than Tessa's. I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew. :) I'm not posting my time just so Blake doesn't know how much work I have to do. Pretty sure you're gonna be enjoying a meal on me Blake. Don't feel bad Mandy I got plenty of time to run. Don't sweat the group thing "Golden Child". I know better than to hassle the Chosen One! ;)
