In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J. Rest in peace Timothy.

This WOD looks brutal. It will be an honor to do it in memory of someone who died for us to have the freedom to do things like CrossFit.

Nice job Darrell...Rocky did it in 8:03...with 95#, Marty in 7:43...with 55# and I completed it with Rocky yelling at me in 15:01 as RX'd. Rocky is really scary at 0600!!! I am not sure how the rest of the morning crew did.

My main motivation was Rocky reminding me of why we were doing the exercise. The answer is simple, because he can't and he died ensuring that I had the opportunity to do so.

For all those who have yet to do the WOD, keep that in mind tonight when it hurts too bad to continue.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to hearing about your times.

I did the WOD this morning. It was very tough. The hardest part was the hang power cleans. My goal was to do it under 20 minutes. 18:29 and it put me on the floor after I was done. I think this would be a great WOD at a lighter weight too. I am really impressed with Erick's time good job.

Thanks Jason,
I fully agree with the "it nearly kilt me" feeling following the WOD. My forearms are still shaking from trying to hold onto the bar. I should have known better about the grip but still suffered through it. I actually did my last 4 HPC's from the floor cause I couldn't hold it any longer.

how did the night class do?

I did in 14:46 with #35. It was a great workout. Everyone there tonight did awesome!!

I did 55# at 9:42. Originally was going to do the 65# but Dave said we should go lower. When I was done we bothe decided 65# would have been good. lol It was a kick butt WOD. I actually would like to do that one again. After I decided to go do a 1K row. Time: 5:01. Then Will had to get on there and show me up. So I got back on to do another 1K. Ummmm.... yeah..... I made it through a 5k. Time: 2:30 I was done!!! lol Then after Will and Dave worked with me on my pull ups. It was great to see everyone push through this WOD. There was alot of grunting and groaning. That means everyone was kicking some Crossfit trash. Boo-ya! I hope there is a class tomorrow night. I saw earlier there was not but I forgot to check on here before blogging. :)

Melanie We are twinners. Thats What I did this Morning. 14 min something with 35lbs as well. I agree it was a goog work out. My forarms were killing me. Um by the way is it normal for your fingers to go numb? Natalie and Dave were ignoring me..

Wow! Everyone did awesome today on the Hero wod. I felt pretty crappy this am so I decided to do the Tabata wod instead, but now I'm feeling so guilty for not doing DT!!! I will do it this week for sure! Hero wods are always brutal but you feel such a sense of accomplishment after. I won't get back to the gym until Thursday so I will do it then or maybe Friday. We are doing my favorite wod on Thursday. muahhhhhhh!

Sounds good Mandy! I will try to wait until Thursday night to do it...but I might be so anxious I will have to get it over with earlier. But Ill come support you baby! Nice job on your row girl. And btw...can I just say you, Melanie and Cynthia are kicking butt lately on your wods!
Sorry about no class tomorrow night. Ive been trying to make it work. It's Jason and my Anniversary so we won't be able to train. SORRY! We're working on Friday's schedule too!
I'm glad you're all such die hards :)
