So last night I was watching Star Wars episode III with my kids and the part came on where Anikin is choking out Obi-1 towards the end of the movie. I was noticing that in movies, there is always someone who is just about to pass out or die, but finds that last bit of inner strength to get up and keep fighting and eventually win the battle. Then I started thinking, that's just like Crossfit. When you are doing a workout like Fran, and you are on your last set of nine thrusters and you have nothing left, but someone you find the physical and mental strength to push up those last killer thrusters, and you finish the workout and win the battle. Awesome. Then I realized I was comparing Crossfit to Star Wars. Wow!...that's when you really know you do too much Crossfit.
Hi Mandy...Pero is in the coffee aisle at the grocery store. It's probably down on the bottom shelf. It is a natural drink made of malted barley, chicory and rye. Heat up 1 cup of milk, add 1 heaping teaspoon of the Pero and sweeten with a teaspoon of Splenda and a dash of cinnamon. It is really yummy! And it is a 1 block snack! Also, the steak sandwiches are, I'm assuming, the Open Faced French Dips made with the Boar's Head Italian style roast beef.
Okay, Natalie and Jill I bought the stuff to try that pero drink tonight. Will let you know. Jill had your open face steak sandwiches. It filled me up and was soooo yummy. My boys had two of them. I wish I could eat like them and stay skinny. lol Thanks for all your ideas. Oh and my family also loved your beef taco salad last night. I bought a tomato/basil vinegerette. They loved it!
Mandy...it sounds like you're doing awesome on the Zone! I'm glad you're liking the recipes. Seriously...I wish I could eat two of those sandwiches too!
