My main weakness on fran was definitely my shoulders. The thrust overhead was killing me. I needed more thrust in my thruster instead of my pathetic front squat to push press. lol
Pullups are still a weakness since i cannot do more than 4 or 5 without a band to assist.
Cody made a wod for me today. Word to the wise don't tell Cody to earn his money by programing a hard wod. 7 rounds 10 20# med ball cleans 10 ghd situps 400 m run
time 24:37 (I think) I've never done that many GHD situps in a wod. Sets of 10 was good since it allowed me to do it as rxd. Any more than that and I would have had to start subbing abmat situps. As it was on the last four my back was dying. This was one of the more butal metcon wods I have done. Thanks Cody. I can't believe I'm thanking the guy who tortured me! As usual Tessa and Kevin did a great job on Fran. It was a bummer when Tessa got done and I still had like 4-5 rounds to suffer through.:)
I too officially hate Fran. For some reason she HATES me too! Not a PR day even though it felt better then the last time I did it in December (weird cause my time was worse)... As Rx'd Time: 7:23 Last time I got 7:05 so I was kinda bummed, but now I just have to work harder next time. Kevin did great; his first time rx'd!! Wahoo for Kevin! Will did awesome on his helofva WOD. Med ball cleans SUCK.. along with running! Thanks Cody for pushin us! Also thanks SO MUCH for the new bars!!! I LOVE THEM!! See ya'll for tomorrow's killer!
Everyone kicked butt on "FRAN", and I can't believe that will actually did that workout. Even though he's winged he's still killing it. Don't worry about not getting a PR every time a workout comes up. You really have to set yourself up for a PR. That includes getting enough rest the week or at least night before, eating right (zoning strict for best results), and taking your fish oils. Oh, and that little part about preparing mentally for a good old fashioned butt kicking. So once again, great job on "FRAN", I wish I could have been there for Darrell"s PR.
