Clean and Jerk
3-3-2-2-1

~All workouts are scaled to each individual's skill level~

We here at Viking Crossfit are big on the Zone diet. Most of the trainers here follow the Zone principals of eating and and have seen and felt the amazing benefits of the diet. Including; weight loss, decreased body fat, increase muscle mass, increase energy levels, improved mood and mental clarity, improved performance and recovery time on wods, and improved sleep. The Zone diet has a synergistic effect with Crossfit training. Dr. Barry Sear's book, "Enter the Zone" explains in more detail the biochemistry behind the diet and how it regulates hormone and insulin levels.
We recommend reading the book, or at least browse through the Zone website to get more information about the diet and why it works. The trainers can also help you with any questions. If you are ready to commit and work for the results you want, we are ready to help you. Remember: diet plays a HUGE role in reaching your goals, wether you want to lose weight or just feel better overall.

Remember when calculating zone blocks for a Crossfitter our activity level is between 1.5-1.75. If you put the activity levels that the zone website gives you it may put you at to high of a block prescription.

Also ran the 5k from the mainsite and the humidity and heat really slowed me down. 27:15 previous PR is 26:27. Oh well it is good practice for basic!

Nice to hear for you Rockey. I am sure you will be doing quite a bit of running in Basic. Keep us updated on how you are doing and say hi to Darrell for us.
