OVER-TRAINING
Does this sound familiar to anyone? You are feeling too tired or unmotivated to come in and do a wod. Your legs feel heavy and you can barely make it up the stairs at work? You came in and did the wod, and but were not really "feeling" it. You're tired, moody and plateauing on workouts or lifts? These are signs of over-training, or under-recovering. Taking rest days are very important! Read more here.

Ok I need some help. I really want to come back to crossfit (I used to have some muscles but they are all gone now) but i'm scared of the pain!

Come on Kate we need more girls in the morning. You got to start somewhere. Pain is good. Hey and I waiting to see Jen again bring her with you.

Anyone can endure the pain for 15 minutes. Its the hour long workouts at Golds that would kill me. Not from pain or difficulty, but the boredom of it. Kate come back it is fun! Remember the anticipation at 9:00 pm looking at the blog to see what the WOD was going to be?

Once it is in your blood you can do anything else. Its what you are.

Kate- get your butt back to the gym! We will take it easy on you for a while so it won't be so bad. Yah, where is Jenn too??? We've missed you two.

This morning was awesome! A lot of deadlift PR's and really good form, I was impressed. Great job everyone. It was nice to meet you Cara, your deadlifts looked great!

Ok, night crew....I will see you at 5pm!

P.S. The 6am class was lifting some heavy weight too. I think 405# was done by Dave? Whoop whoop!

ok, pain sucks and tell Eric that he needs to go easy on me. I'm still recovering from mono. I couldn't walk for 4 days last week!

No 6:00 am class tomorrow. There will be one on Thursday. I will be teaching that one. Yes Jennifer you have to ease your way back into it. You can't come back at the same level as you did when you left. So, you stop or slow down when you need to. Give it about two weeks to a month and then the intensity can really come back up.

Also, we would love to have both of you back. You really add a lot to our gym.

Great job everyone today on your Deadlifts. Big numbers tonight including Blake and Phill both pulling 405#. Des and Sabrina Pr'd too. Sergio and Matt this am were in the 300's. Nice job. I can't remember everyone's numbers so you all need to post!
I missed a lot of you at the night class. Where were you?

Welcome back Jenn and Kate!

335# was my highest. I tried 365# but failed and didn't have time to do a weight in between. Next time 365#, next you are MINE!!!
