I just talked with a friend about working out. His biggest hang up with the Globo is the people that think you should 'worship them' because of what they can do there.
I like the fact that I can go head to head with anyone in the gym and have a great experience. It's not a competition in a bad sense, especially when your being encouraged by everyone around you. There is a different feel when you can have a extremely intense workout and none of the attitude that makes it unpleasant.

The deadlift is my favorite lift. I did 115 pounds today and after my arms were so restless it was crazy, I didn't think I could drive. I love the competition like Dave said. It is friendly but it really pushes you. I am amazed at the things I have been able to acomplish doing crossfit. I am looking forward to my rest day tomorrow.

I become a better CrossFitter by constantly finding weakness and trying to turn them into strengths. Seeking to become good at your 'goats' will always lead to the best improvement. This also works outside of the gym.

About competition and CrossFit: There is something inspiring about trying to do better than someone else while simultaneously wanting them to do their best. We drive each other to do our best for that day, to not give up, to put up with more pain.

Fun workout! Probably could have done more weight, but the trainers know best. Now if I can just figure out how to stop shredding my hands on WODs with lots of pull ups or knee2elbows and such.

12:07 245 pounds. I did this wod at work and nothing replaces the gym. We had a great class at 6 am. Definitely some tough dudes in the early morn. My calves sure are sore today though from the jumping pull-ups.
